I have the habit of taking species from games and pushing it onto block men, so uh.. Honkai: Star Rail - Buttercups, anyone?
Scar is a Vidyadhara, with an affinity for shopkeeping, as usual. Though, since he feels as if he can't stay in one place for too long, he travels to sell his wares; often picking up new items along the way. Basically, he supplies his own shop himself. Scar also paints his tail when he gets bored.
Mumbo is an Avgin, though he doesn't often try to play into the more 'attractive' majority of his species. He's perfectly fine looking like he does, and he appreciates himself enough to not want to change anything. He doesn't often tell anyone he's an Avgin, due to the prejudice the species is met with, specifically how it led to a massacre of his people. The only ones who actually know are Grian and Xisuma.
Grian is a Halovian, with a gold and purple halo resting over his head, shaped like curved wings, or a crescent moon (Mother Miranda style, yk?). Rather than on his back, his wings are on either side of his head, and.. they can't exactly be used to fly, you know- He often ends up assisting Scar with various item searches, like reaching areas the other male can't get, or having to search caves when Scar can't go in. Luckily for Grian, his halo gives off enough light to be used as a really cruddy flashlight! like.. a glow ring.. Other than that, though, he often travels by himself, often stopping in to visit various people before disappearing randomly. It's pretty easy to find him, though; follow the chaos.

Hello, author! Can I request Wise/ Licaon with reader-Vidyadhara (from honkai start real)? Reader shows love in an unusual way. Their dragon tail wags happily when Wise /Lycaon is around. Reader protects them even if reader are weaker. They give out ancient jewels and can also purr softly. Dragons are hard to trust, but the reader lets them touch their tail. The reader's actions scream "I LOVE YOU. I AM DEVOTED TO YOU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE."
If you don't like the idea, then feel free to skip it. Anyway, I wish you all the best~
❈ — A DRAGON'S WAY OF AFFECTION
~ WISE AND VON LYCAON WITH (GN) VIDYADHARA! READER.
SUMMARY: AU - You're a Vidyadhara from the Xianzhou Loufu, travelling across the galaxy and visiting numerous planets just for the fun of it. One planet in particular is your absolute favorite to visit: Eridu-47. | You narrowly escape Thanatos with Wise (in Eous' body). Lycaon is surprised to see you at midnight.
cw/tw: mentions of (minor) injuries on Wise's part, other than that it's all fluff.
A/N: Crossover prompt! How exciting!! We need more playable Vidyadhara characters on hsr...they're such an interesting species. :0 Very sorry for taking so long with your request, and very sorry for not putting some of the actions you've said. :') Thank you for your request and for the kind words! Hope you enjoy reading this.
Breathing. All you could hear was your intense breathing.
You didn't know how long you were running for, but that didn't matter. What matters is getting out of this hollow ASAP. The only problem being that you were being chased by a highly dangerous ethereal.
You recall the moment Wise warned you about the beast. A very fast ethereal capable of slashing its prey in seconds—putting your guard down even for a single second could lead to your demise.
The two of you were terrified, but compared to the small bangboo tightly locked in your arms, deep down—you were the most terrified.
Never have you dealt with this kind of situation before. Sure, Yaoshi's abominations are tough to deal with, but they were more annoying than anything.
This? This was out of your league. You've only fought Ethereals once or twice since you've been here, so you basically had little experience on how to fight them.
But as you were overthinking about the situation, you heard Wise talking from Eous' little body.
"There it is! It's the exit!" It's a small hand/arm pointed forward.
You looked towards the direction it was pointing at; sure enough, the exit of the hollow was in front of you.
You picked up the pace, hoping that Thanatos would give up chasing you. Out of pure instinct, you threw the poor bangboo towards the exit before you could make it there yourself. Unbeknownst to you, Thanatos had created a scar on the back of your neck the second you got out of the hollow.
You trip and fall to the ground beneath you; your body slides against the pavement, creating some minor scratches on your body. But it was nothing you couldn't handle.
You tightly closed your eyes, now feeling the scar that the Ethereal created on the back of your neck.
You heard someone rushing towards you; soon after, you felt as if two people were looming over you.
"Belle, take them to the staff room. I'll recharge Eous in my room."
You heard a familiar voice, and you smiled gently when you realized who it was. You felt your tail wagging, sweeping dirt from the ground.
It was embarrassing to show this type of behavior in public, but you were too tired to care.
You sat up to see Belle in front of you, trying her best to help you. She took your arm and wrapped it around her shoulder, lifting you up to help you stand. But as you tried to listen to what she was saying, your vision became blurry, and then you passed out.
—
Your fingers played with your horns as you stared at the television in front of you. A blanket was moved aside to give you some space on the couch you were sitting on.
You've woken up 10 minutes prior, confused about what happened. Fortunately, Belle was here when you woke up and explained everything to you. She was always nice to talk to; she's optimistic and cheerful no matter the situation—its great.
But after a few minutes, she stood up from the couch and told you that she's going on a girls night out with Nicole and Anby. As she approached the door to leave the room, she looked at you and winked.
"Wise's making you some tea upstairs. Good luck with him, you hear?~" You heard her whisper.
And here you are now, sitting nervously as you overthink about Belle's words. Other than the bangboos inhabiting the store, it was only you and wise. You and wise. Your heart started to beat rapidly, and you looked to your side to see that your tail was wagging ever so slightly.
You tried to calm down, inhaling and exhaling slowly. Just as you were calming down though, you heard footsteps from upstairs...then they walked down the stairs.
Calm down, calm down. You can't let wise see you like this. It'll be embarr—
"Oh, hey, you're awake."
You jumped and snapped your head towards the door to see wisely at the doorway. He became concerned as he saw you breathing heavily, putting the two glass cups on the table behind the couch, and rushed to you.
"Sorry...did I scare you? Here. I made you tea."
He carefully picked up the cup and gave it to you. Still stunned by his presence, you shakingly accepted it. The cup felt warm; it wasn't too hot to the point where it could burn you. You smiled, and your tail wagged once more.
"It's nothing fancy. I don't know if the tea they serve on the Loufu is any different, but I hope you like it." Wise said.
You nodded, taking a sip of the tea he made. Your eyes closed as your taste buds danced with how good it was. Wise giggled at your reaction.
"I'm guessing that you enjoy it?"
"Mhm. It tastes slightly different than the ones from the Loufu...but still as delicious as any tea I've tried so far."
You held the cup up, inspecting it as if it were some piece of treasure. Wise laughed, but his attention was quickly stolen by your tail wagging constantly beside you. He smiled.
"Are you that happy to see me? Every time we meet in person, your tail always wags."
You paused your drinking, suddenly feeling embarrassed at your own behavior. You avert your gaze, trying to hide your red face from wise. He moved closer to you upon seeing your reaction.
"Hey, it's okay! I'm happy to see you as well; you shouldn't be risking your life in that hollow though..." He reminded you. You looked at him straight in the eyes, opening and closing your mouth as you struggled to get a word out.
"I-i just wanted to keep you safe...and Eous. Yeah." You awkwardly explained to him. Wise sighed, grabbing the blanket behind him and throwing it over your shoulders.
"Get some rest before you leave. You deserve it." Wise said. His voice was so comforting to you; it was soft and pleasant to your ears. You quietly purred.
"Oh right. Forgot to ask; did you bring back the videotape you rented a while back?" Wise asked. You froze in place.
You've completely forgotten that you rented a videotape from here a few weeks ago. And today was the deadline.
"I...may have forgotten it back in the Loufu. Haha."
You paced back and forth. Completely deep in your thoughts. You looked absolutely ridiculous in public, but people were too busy minding their own business to look at you weird.
In your hands was a box that looked like nothing from this world.
Of course it wasn't; it's a box containing the finest souvenirs from the Xianzhou Loufu. You held it close to your chest, preventing anyone from potentially stealing it. Or even worse, breaking the precious and fragile souvenirs inside. That would be a disaster. You'd have to pay a good amount of money to the seller you bought these from.
Sitting on the bench behind you, you quickly pulled out your phone. Looking at your contacts to find a specific person, he was the reason you came here in the first place.
A smile formed on your face when you saw his name; your scaled tail wagged simultaneously. But as you hovered your finger on the screen to click on his profile, you hesitated.
It was already late at night by the time you were here, so contacting him now wouldn't be ideal. You sighed, putting your phone back in your pocket, and stood up. Simply accepting that tomorrow morning would be a more appropriate time to give him the box.
You turned around to pick up the box, only to realize that it was gone. Your eyes widen at the sight, and your heart beats fast as you panic. You frantically looked around to see if anyone had taken it purposely or mistakenly.
That's when you heard it. From your pointy ears, you heard the echoes of rapid footsteps coming from your left. You snapped your head in the direction of the sound; sure enough, you saw a figure running towards the gross alleyways of lumina square.
"STOP. STOP IT. YOU THIEF."
You quickly chased him down as confused bystanders backed away in fear. The hooded man with your box created all sorts of obstacles to slow you down, from kicking down stacks of empty boxes to straight up pushing down a dumpster.
Unfortunately for him, this was nothing to you. Like any of the other Vidyadhara from the Loufu, you were athletic. Easily dodging the obstacles the man created.
He looked over his shoulder to see that you were almost caught up to him. He whimpered in fear, but just as he was about to pick up the pace to lose you, he tripped on something heavy and metallic. The impact nearly broke his foot in the process.
The box flung upwards, but thankfully someone effortlessly caught it with one hand. As you ran closer to the scene, you frozen. Tail wagging once more as you saw a tall, well-dressed wolf thiren standing in front of you. One of his prosthetic legs was stepping on the thief's back as a way to restrain him.
"Oh?" The man said. It was a familiar voice—the voice that makes you fall to your knees mentally every time you hear it.
"L-lycaon! I didn't expect you to be here at this hour." You expressed your shock to him.
"The same would apply to you. I wouldn't have expected to see you here in Eridu-47."
As Lycaon said that, he felt the man below him wiggling himself to try and escape. The thiren's eye glowed as a warning, and the hooded man squealed in fear as he finally pleaded guilty for his actions.
"I-i-im sorry! It won't happen again! I promise! I swear! I-i—"
The hooded man begged. Lycaon crouched and leaned towards the side of the man's face, whispering something directly to his ear.
You couldn't hear it, but you know Lycaon said something terrible when the man screamed in fear and quickly ran away the second Lycaon removed his leg from his back.
You were kind of scared, of course, but it was Lycaon. You trusted him dearly, and he has proved his sincerity many times before. So, you didn't question anything. Lycaon looked at you in relief, now holding the box full of goods with both of his hands.
"Apologies for my unbefitting behavior just now. I believe this belongs to you."
He handed you the box; he looked at you so softly that you couldn't help but stare at his face for a few seconds.
But you snapped out of your thoughts and declined. Lightly pushing the box back towards him. Of course, he was confused. Then you explained to him.
"It's for you, silly! No need to give it back to me." You giggled; you could see his one eye widen in surprise.
"My...you're too kind. I don't deserve such treatment from the likes of you." He said. You saw his ears twitching and his tail ever so slightly wagging from this; you smiled. Holding back a laugh.
He looked down at the box, now noticing that it's tightly sealed. Preventing anything from falling out.
"And what awaits me inside this box, may I ask?" He asked you.
One hand was gently placed on top of the box while the other held the bottom part so as not to let it fall to the break.
You walked closer to him, looking upwards to his face as you smiled widely.
"Inside are exclusive items from the Xianzhou Loufu. How about you open it and see for yourself? W-well, maybe not in this dirty alleyway at least." You awkwardly laughed. The thiren merely chuckled, gently taking your hand.
"Then I know just the place. If I may?" Your eyes widen when he offers you this; your horns glowed brightly as you felt your tail wagging. You smiled, nodding at his offer.
"Lead the way, dear attendant." You playful said. He laughed.
"Please. Just call me Lycaon."
Then the two of you walked out of the alleyway, admiring the nightly scenes of lumina square as Lycaon guided you to the rooftop of a building.
You smiled widely; tonight turned out better than you expected it to be. You couldn't wait to see his reaction to the items inside the box, and quite frankly, you were just very happy to be by his side.
Oh, what a happy little dragon you are right now.

Hii! If I may request something for Jing Yuan OR Ratio it'd be great BUT if this happens to be not your cup of tea I really understand and it's all good >:D <3 I love both of these men sm it's insane, but can I request either one of them with a dragon/vidyadhara reader who bites to show affection and she's just a lot more cuddly in privacy. Ratio could just be reading his book and she just takes one of his hands and nips at his wrist, or his shoulder when she hugs him from the back, and she leaves pretty marks all over her man when they're intimate. I just think it's really cute and I needed to at least share the idea with someone TuT Thank you! <3
Hiii, I had SO MUCH FUN with this idea! God It was so cute! (TMI but I find soft biting to be like a great love language) I actually did BOTH Jing Yuan AND Ratio for you because who am I to not finish what I started 🤭 I hope you like it!

"Oh, hey my love..." Jing Yuan was sitting in his chair glancing over papers. He looked a little busy but he always made time for you.
He smiled softly as he told you about his day of training Yanqing and how he was about ready to take an afternoon nap. His cheek resting on his hand as he glanced over his papers again.
The general has that lazy yet smug smile on his lips. "I'm sorry if I don't seem too excited to see you today my love...I assure you I am~..." He chuckles before glancing up to meet your gaze again.
You take a glimpse around to see if anyone's watching before you quickly walk over to his desk and slide into his lap. "I missed you today..." You whine and nuzzle your face into his neck.
"Oh, I missed you too, my dragon..." Jing Yuan chuckles softly at your whines. He hums quietly as he smiles. "How was the rest of your day? Anything interesting?" He said with his usual casual tone. He leans forward to give you a quick kiss before wrapping his arms around your waist.
Your scaly tail slides back and forth as you giggle. "My day was ok...not as exciting as I had hoped..."
"Aww... Why is that...?" He hummed softly as he nuzzled your neck. Seems like whenever he's around you, he's suddenly a bit clingy...but only a little, of course he has to keep his dignity as a General.
Even in front of you, his lovely girlfriend. He nuzzled you a second time before he pulled away to stare at you intently.
"Should I take you on a little date, darling?" It sounds more like a statement than a question. "I just so happen to have free time~"
"Hmm...maybe tomorrow...for now I just wanna cuddle..." You whisper softly as you start to nibble on his neck cutely.
"H-Huh?" Jing Yuan seems to be taken a bit off guard, he wasn't expecting your sudden nibbling on his neck. He couldn't help but shudder from time to time.
A small and soft blush is present on his cheeks, even the lazy General couldn't help himself when his beloved nibbles on his neck.
"Darlinggg..." He chuckles quietly, he hums quietly while he gently caresses the back of your head, slowly making his way up to your horns.
"Do you think I could...bite you more?" You whisper meekly.
Jing Yuan quickly lets out a quiet hum before looking at you with a smirk as he lifts your chin with two fingers. He looked at you with his piercing gaze as a playful glint can briefly be seen on his sharp irises.
"Bite me as much as you like, my dragon..." He teased as he lowered his neck to give you a better angle to bite.
Your eyes gleam with happiness as you start to take his armor off. "You're the best!"
Jing Yuan chuckles softly and he helps you undo his platings easily before taking off his upper garbs, leaving his upper body bare. It reveals a lot of scars; some light and small, others are large, deep, and jagged. "I have to look the most impressive after all~" He seems to tease, he couldn't help but chuckle at his own humor.
"Are you sure it's ok?" You whisper as you open your mouth and lower your face to his shoulders.
"Of course, darling. I am very certain." He whispers softly before suddenly shuddering when he feels your breath near his body.
It looked like he wasn't expecting it so suddenly, but the General contains his composure and just hums quietly as his hand made its way to your horns, gently caressing one before snaking it through your hair. He looked at you affectionately with his piercing gaze.
You giggle softly as you nibble on his shoulders and arms, leaving little bite marks before kissing each one. "It's my way of showing you...that I love you..." You mumble as you kiss a bite.
Jing Yuan let out a quiet hum, he seemed to be enjoying every kiss as he could feel his heart thumping in a steady but loud rhythm in his chest.
He couldn't help but let out another shudder as you left more bite marks, he couldn't help but find these tiny acts of yours...incredibly endearing.
"So you're showing me your love by biting me..?" He chuckles quietly before pulling you a little bit closer towards him and wrapped his arms around you.
"Yep!" You smile brightly, your tiny dragon teeth shimmering. "Is...that ok?" Your tail gently wraps around his leg.
His cheeks are lightly tinted with pink as he looks at you endearingly. He pulls you in tighter, feeling your body flushed against his warm bare chest in an embrace, it looked like his heart was just overflowing with affection as he chuckles softly.
"Darling, you're just so...URG...adorable. Of course, biting me is okay. But if you keep going like this, I don't know what I would do..." Your General teases.
You quickly bite his other shoulder and nibble on the spot. He peers down and sees your tail wagging back and forth gently, sparkling in the light.
Another low chuckle escaped from him, he didn't expect that you'd bite him again so soon.
He pulls you in closer before whispering into your ear, his warm breath gently caressing your sensitive skin, "My, a wagging tail? You're like a dragon in heat right now, darling~." He teases with a playful glint in his eyes as he nuzzles you.
You let go of his shoulder and pout. "We both know what happens when I'm in heat...so don't make fun..."
His thumb gently caressed your cute pout while he gave you another quiet chuckle, he found you incredibly adorable to the point where he couldn't help but tease or sometimes poke fun at you.
"My apologies, darling. I couldn't help it, you look extremely adorable right now..." He whispers softly before suddenly pulling you into a deep kiss.
You gently nibble on his bottom lip as you giggle into the kiss. Your tail stops wagging and curls around his leg again.
Despite your soft nibbling, he remained unbothered as he deepened the kiss even more, he pulled you in closer towards him and let you sit upon his lap once again.
You feel his warm hand making his way to your horns, tenderly caressing them with a soothing and loving touch.
"I love you..." You whisper softly against his lips.
You hear a quiet groan from him as you said those three simple yet meaningful words to him, he pulls away from the kiss and looks at you with his warm and fond gaze.
He was smiling yet he was also flushed pink on the cheeks. He takes a deep breath before holding your face with a gentle touch, staring at you like you were the sun, the moon, and the stars.
"Darling...I love you too..very much." He whispers softly before kissing your forehead gently.

You were super confused as you woke up to hear water running from the bathroom.
Wasn't it like...midnight!?
You climbed out of bed, shifting your tail as to not step on it, and went to the bathroom where the source of the sound was from. You gently open the door and smile as you see your husband taking his daily bath.
Home late from work, again, he's been working so hard. This caused the golden eyed brainiac to turn his head, slightly lowering his book with a soft questioning look.
"Oh it's just you my love, how did you sleep...well... technically you still should be asleep?" Ratio's chuckle and peaceful voice finally breaks the unspoken gaze as he motions for you to come in.
"You look tired...you should join me...then we can go to bed."
You kneel next to him in the tub and sigh with a tired smile. "Not right now...but Aeons you look handsome..."
He lets a small chuckle escape his lips as he sets down the book on the side of the bath and raises his hand to run his fingers across your cheek.
"And why is that? If I may ask."
He gently positions himself to be facing you, making it easier for him to appreciate your beauty and gently rests his chin on your forearm as he gazes into your eyes.
"Your eyes...hair...smile..." You giggle softly as your scaly tail wags across the ground. Pearly white fangs sticking out as you smile at him.
His eyes lit up with wonder and amusement, his fingers slowly trailing up to your cheek to graze gently against your dimples.
"I could say the same to you, darling. You're the most beautiful being in the universe..."
He gently presses his lips against your forehead, giving it a soft peck before lowering his lips to your collarbone, kissing it gently.
You lean forward and nibble at the hand brushing your face, leaving small marks on it.
As you nibble on his hand, Ratio lets a deep chuckle escape his lips, feeling his heart flutter from your endearing gesture.
"You are adorable, sweetheart."
He says as his hand gently slides down from your cheek and gently rests on your shoulder, giving it a soft squeeze.
"Hmm how was work?" You whisper as you motion for him to turn around, which he does, and you nibble on his shoulder as he talks.
He lets a soft sigh, his eyes closing as he smiles with amusement.
"I have solved another complex algorithm. Nothing quite interesting."
He leans back into your touch, his eyes still closed as he tilts his head to the side and lets you plant light bites on his shoulder.
"Everything you say..." You trail off as you leave another bite on his shoulder to make a heart shape with another bite. "Is interesting!"
He lets out a warm chuckle as he feels your teeth on his shoulder, a warm smile tugging on his lips.
"You are far too kind, sweetheart...sometimes for your own good"
He gently maneuvers his arm to slide a strand of your hair between his fingers and tugs it playfully, a mischievous smile forming on his face as he brings his free hand to rest in the water.
Your tail slides over to his other shoulder, slithering over it and tickling his cheek while you continue to nibble on him.
A quiet chuckle escapes his lips as the scales and tip of your tail tickle him, his hand trailing up to your chin to lift your face and plant a gentle kiss on your lips.
"Be a little more gentle, darling. You're not eating me, my dragon."
Ratio whispers in a playful tone, the corners of his mouth tugging in an amused smile before pressing his lips against yours in a deeper, but gentle kiss.
As you both pull away you pout at his words. "But I'm just showing you I love you~" You whine as you kiss one of the bites.
He lets a hearty chuckle escape his lips as he looks into your eyes, a smile tugging on his lips as he sees the pout on your face.
"You are being far too adorable, sweetheart."
He slowly turns around in the tub again and brings a hand to your chin, caressing it before leaning forward to plant a soft kiss on your lips, gently cupping your face as he deepens the kiss.
You smile against his lips and bring a clawed hand to slide over his shoulder and up into his hair.
He smiles against your lips, his eyes closing as his tongue slowly traces over your lower lip as he gently places his other hand against your waist.
For a moment as he kisses you, he pulls you closer to him, well with what he can without the barrier of the tub, his tongue slowly slipping inside your mouth.
He brushes his tongue against your fangs before seeking for your tongue, trying to fight for dominance.
You let out a low groan and a playful sigh as his tongue 'wins' in your mouth.
Ratio lets an amused chuckle vibrate in his throat as he hears your groan, his tongue gently slipping against yours, his hand that was on your chin slides up to your hair, gently tugging on it just enough to make you gasp.
As you gasp, he deepens the kiss, his tongue slowly wrapping around your own and caressing it, before slowly pulling away and gently nipping your lower lip.
Your eyes shoot open with a smirk. You pull away from the kiss. "And what was that my dear doctor?" You tease him with a seductive gaze.
He lets out a quiet chuckle, his eyes gleaming in mischievousness as his fingers slowly trail through your hair, gently tugging it as a small smile crawls onto his lips.
“Call it, payback, sweetheart.”
He whispers, gently placing a thumb on your chin, before lowering his lips down to trail kisses on your neck, gently nipping your skin.
"...I love you..." You groan out as he bites down hard, kissing it immediately after, before moving to another spot.
He smiles against your skin as the words slip out of your mouth, gently nipping on your neck and biting down hard as he continues, the vibrations of his breath ghosting over your skin as he murmurs a word in between breathless bites.
“I love you too, sweetling.”
"Hey how about you get out of that bath...and we move this to the bedroom?" You smirk softly.
He chuckles softly as he hears your proposal, his eyes gleaming with mischievousness and hints of lust.
“Eager, aren’t you love?”
He murmurs softly as he lifts himself up from the tub, a teasing smile on his face as he holds his hand out for you to take.
"Yeah you might wanna get dry first~" You toss a towel at him and stand to take his hand before planting a kiss on his nose.
A soft chuckle escapes his lips as he catches it, swiftly bringing it over his toned and muscular frame and beginning to run it all over his torso and arms.
“And what about you, my dear?”
He asks, a teasing smile on his face as he watches you gently planting the small kiss on his nose before back to you and pulling you close.
"I'm not the one who took a baAAATH!" You yelp as he pulls you down into the water. You squeal as your clothes get wet.
Ratio looks at your clothes, now completely wet and clinging to your body as he flashes you a devious smirk and a teasing look on his face.
“Well, looks like I did a good job getting your clothes wet. But I assure you, the night has just begun, my love.”
He whispers teasingly, a mischievous smile on his face as he watches you with a predatory look in his eyes.
"Oh ho ho!" You glare at him playfully before sliding your clothes off and placing them on the floor, leaving a puddle of water. "You're cleaning that later..."
Ratio watches as you slide out of your drenched clothes, the sight of your body making a smile break out on his face.
“Oh, I don’t mind. Though...you should stop being so damn distracting, or I just might make an even bigger mess.”
He says, his tone laced with teasing and teasing, watching you with a hungry expression, his eyes roaming over your body in an almost greedy way.
"You're going to pay for that~" You smirk as you straddle his lap before tying your hair up so it doesn't get in the way.
A devious look appears on his face as a playful and teasing smirk tugs on his lips.
“I would gladly pay the price, my love.”
He whispers, his hands slowly trailing down your waist, gently running them over your waist and pulling your frame closer to him, his tongue slowly trailing along the crook of your neck.
"You remember the word yes?" You smirk with lust in your tone.
His grip tightens on your waist, his eyes slowly trailing down to yours, a mischievous smile tugging on his lips as he speaks with a sultry tone.
“I do. And I remember your word too. We will be using it, later.”
He purrs, gently nipping your jawline and planting a light kiss on your lips.
"Good..." Your eyes narrow seductively before you pull away and open your mouth, leaning closer to bite his shoulders and biceps.
His eyes widened in pleasant surprise as you start to bite his shoulders and arms, a low groan escaping his lips and his arm flexes slightly as you bite his arm.
“Getting feisty aren’t you, darling?”
He purrs, his free hand gently wrapping around your neck and giving it a soft squeeze.
Your tail flicks back and forth, sloshing the water a bit. "Cmon doctor make your dragon feel good~" Your horns glow a soft hue as you smile with glee.
He lets a soft chuckle escape his lips as he watches your tail flick and slosh the water around, his gaze trailing over your horns that are glowing in a beautiful hue.
“Oh my dear, you’re a work of art. Even if you aren’t a path of The Hunt follower...”
He leans forward to gently trail his tongue over your neck as he lets out a pleasured sigh.
“You make my mind become a mess...”
"And here we go~" You smirk knowingly.

Ratio was sitting in his office, doing some final corrections on some papers. When all of a sudden, a certain annoying blonde-haired man walked in and started whistling and laughing.
Ratio sighed deeply and muttered a curse under his breath before looking at Aventurine.
“What do you want, gambler?”
He said irritably, looking up from his work and narrowing his gaze.
"Tough night with the missus?" His co-worker laughs and fiddles with a coin in his hand.
Ratio narrowed his gaze, giving the purple-eyed man a displeased look before taking a glance at his shoulder and arm, where there were visible bite marks and hickeys.
“It’s none of your business, you dim witted imbecile…”
He said in an annoyed tone, going back to his work and continuing to proof read his papers.
Aventurine clicks his tongue and shrugs. "Hey hey no need to get hostile there..." He turns and walks out, leaving Ratio to himself.
"Idiot..." He curses under his breath as he glances over in the mirror and starts to laugh. A bite in the shape of a heart is settled on his arm.
"Oh she's going to pay for that..." The golden-eyed man smirks.

Randomly consumed today by the thought of henghill cuddles, but like from a specific point in their relationship, like after they've only recently started laying in the same bed together.
It's something that takes them a long time to work up to; they both have nightmares, and yeah, Dan Heng is a Vidyadhara and he can heal himself beyond anything Boothill could accidentally do to him, but still. Boothill is made of metal now. He's heavy. It wouldn't take much, just a single flailing limb to cause some damage. He still gets up after Dan Heng falls asleep, and sneaks down into the guest cabin in one of the other cars.
But he'll lay in bed with Dan Heng until then. At first Boothill would always try to situate a blanket between them, because well. Metal isn't exactly pleasant to cuddle. But more and more lately, he's noticed Dan Heng keeps worming his way around their soft barrier and just kind of...rubbing his hand along him? Open palm up the curve of his side, across the planes of his chest, into the star-shape at his solar plexus, down the plates of his abdomen, back to his side again. Fingertips tap soundlessly against metal, or press into dents and divots, or smooth over old scars in the steel.
"Ya don't hav'ta do that, ya know."
"Does it bother you?"
Dan Heng's hand has already stopped, settling somewhere on the futon, neutral ground. Boothill clarifies that no, it doesn't bother him. But he can't feel any of it. He only knows he's doing it because he can see the motion out of the corner of his eye. Dan Heng doesn't need to go through the extra effort to do things for him like he would someone with a normal human body.
And Dan Heng goes quiet, just long enough that Boothill gets curious and turns to look at him over his shoulder. He has the cute little furrow between his brows, like when he's thinking.
And then he opens that pretty mouth of his and says, "That's alright, I think I'm doing it for myself, anyway" and Boothill nearly wheezes because wow, Dan Heng is almost never quite that honest when it comes to himself fdklsajlkd
Boothill cackles in surprise and asks point blank what he means, because what could he be getting out of that? Given the implied permission, Dan Heng's hand starts it's usual route again. Side, chest, solar plexus, abdomen, side. Boothill can practically hear him chewing on his words.
"I like that you're warm," is what he finally says, and Boothill suddenly feels like a bullet has just grazed something vital. "All the processes you run increase your temperature," Dan Heng's hand fans out across a span of steel and he holds it there, like he's soaking up the heat. "And your metal is smooth, it feels pleasant to touch," his fingertips move in circles, slip into a divot perfectly sized, rub back and forth. Boothill silently wills one of his cooling fans threatening to open up to stay closed.
"I like how you feel under my hands. That's all." Headshot! No recovery possible.
"...Suit yerself, then," and Boothill quickly turns back over before Dan Heng can see it in his face, how close he just hit to his heart.
#honkai star rail#henghill#bootheng#hsr dan heng#hsr boothill#pardon me I read a really really good porno this morning and was feeling inspired fjdklasjfkld#Look soft fuzzy super plush things are my faves- but nice smooth metal is so so nice too.#you know those fidget toys that are silky smooth material and they just have like a perfect little divot to rub the pad of your thumb into?#that's the kind of thing I'm getting at.#plus. plus!!#Dan Heng seems to dislike the cold. And we see why in 2.4 when he comments that the Shackling Prison is as cold as he remembers it.#And Dan Heng sleeps in the archive for a reason. he likes the sense of security in there.#it's a huge deal for him after being so violently hunted for so long#and I love the thought that Boothill reminds him of that. He's warm and he whirs and he's made of metal like some of the machinery in there#Dan Heng likes that regardless of whether he realizes why or not.#he likes to touch him. he just likes how he feels <3#and I think that would be something important to Boothill too because like. I don't think he HATES his body or anything.#but he didn't exactly get it under happy circumstances. and he does consider his human body as a toll that had to be paid.#he refers to any malfunctions as frightening to other people in one of his parlor car lines.#he refers to himself as a man already dead.#So I think it would hit a little harder than Boothill's prepared for to hear Dan Heng not only doesn't mind but even likes his body as it i#they're so sweet I love them so much uweh#hsr#dan heng#boothill#my fics

Thank you very much for doing my ask! I loved how it turned out! Compliments to the chef! Hopefully I'm not being a bother, by asking something again. If I am being a bother, please tell me. I don't want to make you uncomfortable.
Anyway, can we get some more food about sahsrau? Maybe about an reader who has a lot of scars all over their body, including their face? So others in reader's world call them ugly, till the reader stopped talking to anyone. Except for animals, they love cats for example, so they only talked to cats?
How would the HSR characters react to that? Would they try to help, or would they use that for their own gains? As for who, could you do some headcanons or story about Jing Yuan, Blade, Dan Heng, Jingliu? Basically, all the characters who remain of High-Cloud Quintet? Rip to Baiheng.
Other then that, take good care of yourself! And stay hydrated! Cause there are always people who care!
daaaaammmmnnnnn
you better then me that’s for sure
alright
let’s get to it

cw for what anon said
Formerly Yingxing, artisan from the Xianzhou Zhuming and previously of the Luofu, he’s an individual that still possesses many wounds- actually one, in the form of Mara. For him, it still bleeds out and he has to get Kafka to patch him up and make him sane.
He’s actually fine with your appearance, though. It’s not that people (in their verse) will find you ugly, instead they’ll find you incredibly good looking, and by proxy people will find those who share the same physical traits as you to be more desirable.
People might even try to look like you! (convince them that it’s a bad idea please)
He doesn’t understand why people dislike you simply for your appearance, but he will cut down anybody who dares to disrespect you.
Ah yes, the man who ditched his responsibility as High Elder of the Vidyadhara to go on a space road trip with his buddies.
I am kidding, of course.
Not really.
As the guard of the Astral Express, he’s probably the one who is the most familiar with you out of the group (as anon said, RIP Baiheng) on this list.
Due to that, the other three… kind of really hate his guts.
Not in the “I want to (this was not included in the content warning) and then (oh god this makes me want to barf) but more like a “I really, really, wish I was in your place” type deal.
Jealousy, in layman’s terms.

Summary : “For certain, he knows… somehow— by some twist of fate—
It’s really you.
And Blade feels like Ren once more.”
or
The Reunion.
Falling asleep has become a chore for you. It had already been difficult prior to regaining your identity— glimpses of your past taunting your amnesia, but now, during the first night with your new memories, the dreams you have feel less like such.
If you had to call it something… perhaps premonition would be more accurate of a title.
After recalling your past, you initially fall asleep with ease— feeling lighter and no longer lost. However, the dream you have…
Your eyes snap open, a chill running down your spine as you take in your surroundings. The space is foggy, and in front of you is Ren— no, Blade.
This isn’t the man you once knew, rather, one marred by centuries of pain. Bandages cover scarred skin, and his eyes are cold as he regards you with a dark expression.
It sends shivers down your spine— not used to the distant expression he regards you with. Only after a few moments do you realize that he isn’t looking at you… but through you.
You pause, turning around, eyes widening at who you saw.
Inky black hair, short but familiar, matched with jade eyes you’d recognize anywhere.
Imbibitor Lunae— Dan Feng. Well… perhaps that’s inaccurate to say. This isn’t the Vidyadhara from your past— it’s his reincarnation. You can hardly call them the same person, but it’s clear to you that Blade doesn’t care for such a trivial distinction.
Blade’s eyes are filled with nothing but vengeance and pure fury. He lifts his sword, a malicious smirk on his face as he speaks in a familiar voice, but with a tone that’s anything but.
“Of five… three must pay a price,” he says. His sword glints in the dark space the three of you exist in. Your body tenses. You can sense Lunae’s fear, and it spurs you forward, reacting just as Blade lunges toward him.
You gasp out his real name, flinching and grasping Blade’s shoulder as his sword pierces your abdomen. The unexpected nature of your presence seems to snap Blade out of his ferocity because now he looks to you with guilt and fear.
He whispers your name before looking down at where he’s pierced you, retracting it and allowing the blade to clatter to the ground as he holds you tightly.
“No… please— I can’t lose you again.” He pulls you into his chest. You smile softly up at him, caressing his cheek before your head begins pounding.
You shut your eyes just as he calls out your name desperately once more and—
You jolt up with a gasp, heart pounding in your chest as your eyes adjust to the darkness.
Yanqing sleeps soundly beside you, holding onto your tail as he snoozes away. You smile, reaching over to gently ruffle the boy’s hair.
“It was just a dream… just a dream.” You shut your eyes, attempting to calm your nerves and ground yourself. You’re trying to convince yourself that it was merely a mirage— an after effect of regaining your memories, just like Bailu said.
But it still feels so real to you.
Across the room, you hear shuffling from one of the other clinic beds as Jing Yuan rises from his slumber, walking over to you upon realizing that you’re awake. He seats himself beside you, careful not to rouse his apprentice.
“Are you alright? It’s still late. Don’t tell me you stayed up,” Jing Yuan says with a tired smile as he looks at you. You force a small laugh before shaking your head, frowning.
“I had a dream about Blade.” You lean against the General with a sigh, squeezing your eyes shut as the vision flashes before your eyes once more. “Lunae was there… he was gonna stab him, but I stepped in. Blade stabbed me instead. It feels like a bad omen.”
Jing Yuan gently rubs your back in an attempt to comfort you as you explain your nightmare. He hums, leaning his head against yours.
“It was just a dream. I don’t know if Blade remembers who you are… but either way, I doubt he’d have it in him to hurt you. That’d be ridiculous— he’d never do such a thing,” the General assures. You smile and nod, using his presence to ground yourself in the moment.
The sun slowly begins to rise, and distantly, you can hear Bailu shuffle around and get to work. Finding comfort in Jing Yuan’s words and the familiar environment, you relax against him.
It’s a new day— the very first with your new memories. While you no longer carry the burden of amnesia, you have to learn to live with the newfound weight of your entire past.
Maybe it’s naive to believe so, but you think you’ll be okay.
After all, you had the support of those around you, and Blade is far gone from where you are currently.
Perhaps things are going to finally look up for you.
Blade’s eyes snap open as he shifts a bit. Hidden within a Starskriff filled with cargo, he sits up against the wall he’d been silently resting again.
Slowly, his eyes adjust to his surroundings. The Starskriff hums as it flies them to their rendezvous point, and Kafka’s leaned against the wall, peering out through the cracks of the ship to track their location. However, she turns toward him upon hearing him startle awake.
Silently, she lifts a brow as she looks at him. Blade ignores the obvious questioning glance, turning his head away with an annoyed huff.
Beneath his stoicism, Blade’s heart is pounding.
“Ren…?”
“No… please—
“I can’t lose you again.”
The words echo in his mind louder and louder, causing him to shut his eyes. Each time he does, he’s back in that space, his sword piercing your body.
His hand clenches around the sword resting beside him, forcing his eyes open to look at it.
It was just a dream… he thinks to himself. I’d never hurt them.
Perhaps it’s the weight of the guilt of breaking his promise to you causing these nightmares. Although, this one felt more… real.
It makes him feel uneasy. Why couldn’t he have dreams of when times were lighter? It’d provide him a nice respite from harsh reality.
Before he can stew in his thoughts more, Kafka speaks up. “We’re almost there. We should get ready to move— we have quite the show to play out, Bladie~”
“This isn’t the plan I remembered,” he says, narrowing his eyes in her direction. Kafka simply smiles, tilting her head in a way that felt condescending.
“Bladie. Are you doubting me? I’d never go against Elio’s plans.” She crossed her arms, and Blade huffs, standing up and walking beside her. He grips his sword tightly, blank eyes trained forward as the cargo bay of the Starskriff slowly opens.
“I don’t know why I bothered to ask. You care for that man’s stories far more than I do.” Blade doesn’t bother looking back to her when she spares him a glance.
Subtly, Kafka releases a relieved sigh. Prematurely granting Blade’s initial wish of reunification meant changing their original plan to lay low— now needing Blade to play a more active role instead of hiding in the shadows while she got arrested.
The woman smirks, recounting her conversation with Elio following his text the night prior.
“Elio… I get that we can grant Bladie’s wish of being with his old flame, but what’s with the haste?”
Elio sighs. “The situation calls for it. The dragon has external influences that may stray them away from ever accepting Blade as he is. To truly fulfill his wish, we must reunite them as soon as possible. The story must change to allow for it.”
Laughing, Kafka shakes her head. “I trust you. So? What’s this new script of yours looking like?”
Kafka looks back over at Blade where he seems lost in his thoughts once more, that familiar far-off look in his eyes.
“Create chaos, Kafka. Lose Blade in the crowd and get yourself arrested per the original plan. From there, the story shall play out on its own.”
The woman smiles to herself. What she wouldn’t give to be in the room when Blade sees his lover again. Unfortunately, she has to follow the script to allow him the opportunity— and she’s sure she’ll be able to hear plenty about it.
After all, especially in the Xianzhou, she finds that people talk and rumors spread like wildfire.
Finally, the ship comes to a full stop, and Kafka slips out into the Exalting Sanctum, Blade on her tail.
Slipping into the shadows, the man clicks his tongue. “Why are we moving now? We don’t benefit from being impulsive,” he says. Kafka laughs softly.
“Didn’t you just say that I know Elio’s plans better than you? Besides, I have some unfinished business in the area that I need to take care of before the next phase of our plan.” She moves closer to the main square, hidden between a few close buildings, their chatter muffled by the sound of the bustling citizens.
Blade follows and turns to face her, exhaling as he hears her unsatisfactory excuse. “Why did I have to accompany you? This is something you do on your own if the matter only concerns you.”
The woman smirks teasingly, tilting her head. “Now I know I don’t have to answer that question for you.”
The other rolls his eyes, clenching his hand around the hilt of his sword as he seethes. “Destiny’s Slave is needlessly concerned over such insignificant details…”
“Not as insignificant as he has you believe, Bladie~” Kafka sings as she jumps out into the main square and pulls her guns out, lightning energy sparking around her as she shoots into the crowd.
Blade’s eyes go wide, unable to stop her from creating such an obvious spectacle. Though she’s purposely missing her shots, the sounds are enough to cause mass panic.
This definitely isn’t a part of the plan! Blade insists to himself.
Originally, Kafka was supposed to cat and mouse with the Cloud Knights at Cloudford— not go out guns blazing in public.
With no other choice, Blade shoots out from the shadows, following after Kafka as the Cloud Knights chase, hot on their tail.
“What happened to the plan?!” Blade yells as he slashes his way past approaching guards, more so upset about the impulsive change, less about the spectacle of it all. “You were only supposed to get arrested. I’m not supposed to have any part in that aside from helping you escape the Divination Commission!”
Kafka laughs as she aims a few shots back at the soldiers chasing them. “I’m following Elio’s script exactly, Bladie. I never said it wasn’t subject to changes.”
Before he can argue, Blade feels an icy breeze, a sword whizzing through the air and piercing his abdomen from the left. He grunts, hand grasping over the wound as he glares in the direction the blade came from.
He meets the wide eyes of Jing Yuan’s young apprentice. The boy falters, halting at the sight of him before becoming determined again. However, his hesitation is enough to allow Kafka to draw his attention instead, shooting at the boy.
The diversion seems to work— more icy swords tailing after Kafka as the young apprentice chases her. Amidst the commotion and panic, Blade manages to slip into a clinic to hide, hissing in displeasure at the slightly frostbitten wound.
Even with a monstrous healing ability, severe wounds such as this one don’t heal instantaneously. As much as he despises treating his wounds given the warmth he associates with the action, the situation doesn’t allow him the space to be picky.
Glancing around the clinic, he recognizes various salves and medicines— ones that you taught him about so long ago. Incense wafts through the air and relaxes him only slightly.
Perhaps the sight of such a place would’ve made him feel like home at one point in his life. Now, it only serves as a painful reminder for him— making him recall all he doesn’t have in this life anymore.
Blade wishes to leave as soon as he possibly can, planning on stealing a few healing salves and fleeing the clinic. However, shuffling from another room causes him to still, drawing his blade as he withdraws to the shadows of the room, attempting to gauge his opponent.
“Hello? Is someone there…?” a voice calls out.
Blade feels his chest tighten, unable to stop a soft gasp from escaping his lips. Desperately, he wants to seek the source of the voice out, but he’s afraid. Is this another delusion of his shattered mind? It has to be.
You died centuries ago.
“Whoever is there, it’s alright! Lady Bailu is out, but I can help you in her stead.” He hears soft clattering from the room once more and the grip on his sword tightens, but he still quietly listens. “I know the battle is ferocious… but life is precious. Well-being is important, and you shouldn’t treat yourself with such recklessness.”
The man pauses, his breath getting caught in his throat as he recalls all the times you said something similar to him— how you’d insist that his reckless behavior wasn’t good— how you’d finally gotten him to treasure his life with the repetition of similar phrases accompanied by your careful love.
Surely it can’t be… can it? He wants to hope— for the first time, he wants to pray to whatever Aeon will hear him that somehow— by some miracle— you’ll be able to greet him once more.
Blade pauses as footsteps approach, watching the curtain to the back of the clinic draw open. He has to stop himself from falling to his knees as he emerges from where he hid, meeting the careful gaze of the one before him.
There you stand— glittering horns atop your head and a scaled tail swaying behind you. You gasp, your grip faltering as the clay bottles you’d been holding slipped and shattered on the ground below. Alongside it, Blade’s sword falls from his bandaged hand.
He scans your features— you’re glowing— alive and healthy. Healthy and alive.
He’s terrified of breaking the silence— scared that you’re merely an illusion of his broken mind— some sick mirage created by a tormented soul.
Finally… you speak.
“Ren…?”
Ah, he’d nearly forgotten how lovely your voice sounded— how sweet it sounds when you say his actual name with such a gentle tone.
For certain, he knows… somehow— by some twist of fate—
It’s really you.
And Blade feels like Ren once more.
Rays of sun peer through the sheer curtains of the clinic, shrouding the room in sunlight, spilling through in a warm amber glow.
The light illuminates another day. While it’s the first official day with your memories, it was supposed to be just as mundane as the last— easing into your usual routine by Bailu’s side so she can monitor you.
Only… that doesn’t happen.
The Cloud Knights called Jing Yuan away on an emergency, and Yanqing dutifully followed. Terrored screams and the unmistakable sound of fighting alerted Bailu, causing her to run into the midst of the battle to heal those in need.
“You need to stay here just in case anyone seeks refuge here. Besides… I’m still unsure of your condition. For your safety, remain here.”
Of course, you do as she says, remaining in the clinic and replenishing medicines you know will run short amid a fierce battle.
However, while working away at your mortar and pestle, the clinic door bursting open tears your attention away.
Expecting a wounded Cloud Knight or a terrified citizen, you find yourself shocked to see Ren… Blade… at your doorstep.
Bottles shatter on the floor followed by the sound of a blade hitting the floor.
The silence is heavy— and you’re afraid.
Is this some cruel dream? Has your condition worsened more than Lady Bailu expected?
Does he even remember who you are?
Your eyes drift to the wound on the man’s side, blood seeping through his fingers. The sharp copper scent and sight of crimson droplets on the floor tells you that the one before you is very much real.
Unable to keep your silence any longer, you finally whisper his name— the one that once left your lips in a sweet tone— now fragile, vulnerable.
Afraid of the pain of knowing— confirming if he truly recognizes you or not.
“Ren…?” you whisper, taking a cautionary step forward, hands twitching at your side where you desperately wish to reach out— wanting to heal his wounds carefully like you once did centuries ago.
He seems to momentarily scan your concern-painted features before you notice his eyes become glassy, a single tear slipping as he practically crumbles, nearly falling to his knees.
You gasp, quick to reach out and catch him in your embrace, holding him up. Your hand hovers over his wound, wondering if it’s the pain causing his tears. Then, he talks, voice wavering.
“You’re alive… It’s really you,” he says, resting his head on your shoulder, basking in your familiar warmth, soothed by the feeling of your rapidly beating heart against his chest.
You wrap your free arm around him, clutching the fabric of his shirt tightly, anxious yet elated at the feeling of being close to him once more. “You remember me…?”
Blade pulls back, regarding you with wide eyes. “How could I forget? You were… are my one reason for remaining tied to this world.”
His eyes drift up to your horns before drifting across your features and down to the swaying tail behind you. He looks conflicted, anger mixing with sadness as he takes in your appearance.
“How did you… Why did you never tell me? If I knew…” Blade trails off, and you shake your head.
“I have a lot to explain. I know, but please… let me deal with your injury first,” you say, glancing down to where his hand still clutches over bloodied fabric. Blade flinches away when you reach out, eyes averting away, cold— critical.
“There’s no need,” he starts, letting out a long sigh. “I’m a monster. I'll heal on my own. I don’t need help.”
Your gaze softens, and you reach out once more, gently pulling his hands away from the injury. “That’s nonsense. You’ve never been a monster, Ren. You deserve healing just as much as anyone else, abilities be damned.”
He glances at you, eyes still darkened with what you imagined were endless painful memories. “You’ll be stained with my blood…” he mutters.
“Such is the life of a healer.” You laugh gently, shaking your head. “Besides, even if it meant my hands would forever be stained red, I’d heal you time and time again.”
You reach out once more, but Blade stops your hand with his clean one, still hesitant— guilty… afraid.
“You… you don’t know of the egregious acts I’ve done in the centuries you’ve been gone.” Blade refuses to look you in the eyes. You pause, flashes of wanted posters and a list of charges appearing in your mind. Yet… you find that you aren’t afraid.
You’ve seen the cold, vengeful sides of this man. You’ve seen Blade, but the image before you isn’t a fearsome warrior. It’s that of a young swordsman— a terrifying opponent in battle who came home just to become the sweetest lover to you.
Placing a hand over his, you smile reassuringly. “You’re right. I don’t know exactly what you’ve done, but I’ve seen your face plastered across wanted posters, and I’m still here. You haven’t scared me off.”
Blade looks to you, hesitating still, eyes meeting yours and searching for any sign of a lie.
“Ren… I’m sheltering you from the authorities. The least you can do is let me heal you,” you joke, trying to express in whatever way possible that you did not think badly of him. Finally, he returns your smile and nods.
After hastily sweeping away the broken clay and setting his sword aside, you have him seated on one of the clinic beds. You get to work, pulling away stained fabric, wiping away caked on blood before grabbing salves, medicine, and a suture kit.
Blade is concerned to see your reaction, but even at the sight of countless bandages and scars littering his body, you do not flinch. If it affects you in the slightest, you don’t let it show.
Your trained hands carefully clean his wound, a concentrated look on your face as you work. It brings him back to days long past— chess boards, lighthearted banter, surrounded by friends… and warmth.
Those days of bliss are far out of reach, though. And look what’s become of him.
You’ve remained the kindhearted healer you’ve always been. Even as a Vidyadhara— an immortal— you haven’t changed.
He watches you close his wound, your hands stained with his tainted blood, and he feels undeserving. He’s fallen into a path of darkness and vengeance. You remained in the light.
Meeting you again in this state… it feels shameful to him.
Sensing his gaze, you meet his eyes and tilt your head, hands stilling from where you’ve started applying a salve over the stitches.
“I’m sorry,” he says. You pause, mouth agape for a moment before shaking your head.
“For what?”
Blade remains silent, and in that silence, you find your answer. You recognize all that’s left unspoken— what he’s truly apologizing for.
He’s sorry for meeting you in such a state, for straying away from the honorable path, for becoming a renowned criminal— for becoming Blade.
He expects anger, criticism, perhaps even disdain. What he doesn’t expect is the kind expression that comes across your face.
“I forgave you long ago, Ren. I’m not angry,” you respond. He looks at you in disbelief.
“Why? You should be angry at all the grudges I still hold. Even now, I’m still ready to hunt him down. Yet, you forgive me? Why?” His eyes narrow, and you look away.
“Why shouldn’t I? Why should I be angry, Ren? You found purpose after being fractured. Living lost without purpose…” you pause, eyes squeezing shut as you recall the familiar days without your memories, lost to the world— living in pain. “You did what you had to, given the circumstances. And your circumstances weren’t exactly favorable.”
Blade opens his mouth to retort but finds nothing, unable to counter your argument. In his silence, you speak once more.
“Besides, I feel as if I owe you more of an apology.” You finish applying the treatment and bandaging his wound, moving to sit beside him on the bed. Blade eyes your dragon features, mesmerized by the glittering colors and shimmering scales before meeting your eyes.
Eyebrows pinched, you can see the anger in his expression. “Of all things… why was this the secret you decided to keep? Had I known… I would’ve waited. I could’ve lived with hope instead of being fractured… I would’ve avoided centuries of heartache,” he seethes, eyes scanning yours in a mix of pain and fury. You shake your head, placing your hands over his.
“No. You wouldn’t have,” you state sternly, expression wavering. “Believe me, Ren. Being entirely forgotten by someone you love is far more painful than letting them die to natural causes. It’s far more merciful to let someone go than let them hope that you’ll remember them to no avail.
“Living with them, knowing they’ll never recall you no matter how hard you try… that’s far worse.”
Blade looks at you with a careful expression. “You sound as if you speak from experience…”
You give him a wry smile.
“It’s because I do.”
“Do you plan on telling him?”
A voice speaks up from where you’re sat, carefully bottling up medicinal powders, your tail resting on the bench. You look up, meeting the jade eyes of Dan Feng. You sigh, shaking your head.
“This had been a persistent question Imbibitor Lunae brought up after you and I had become a couple. He insisted that I needed to think seriously about it, but I had.
“My answer remained the same.”
“No… Dan Feng, you know I can’t,” you say. The Vidyadhara seats himself next to you, and you turn toward him.
“At least provide me a reason as to why.”
You gently push aside your materials, leaning your elbow against your work table and leaning your head on your hand. “Ren is a short-life species, Lunae. There will be no difference when I pass on from this incarnation.”
Dan Feng’s lips tighten into a fine like, regarding you with a displeased expression. “You should. Keeping secrets like this can be detrimental.”
You hum. “No… it’s cruel. Reincarnation is practically a death anyway, and this way, Ren can live and die without regrets. I know him. If he knew, he’d feel like he’d be abandoning me if he died. It’d do more harm than good.”
Lunae’s expression becomes tense, eyes clouding over as he asks another question.
“What would happen if Ren became immortal?” he asks.
“I didn’t think anything of the question. I thought he was just challenging my resolve with a hypothetical, but… the look on his face. The signs were there. I should’ve known he had something in mind.
“But I didn’t. I didn’t know. So I responded normally instead of questioning him.”
You laugh for a moment before realizing that Dan Feng expected a serious response. Your gaze becomes terse, free hand clenching tight at the mere thought.
“Ren is your bosom friend for a reason, Lunae. He’d never follow Yaoshi’s path. Such a thing would never happen— it should never happen,” you insist before turning away with a sigh. “Though, even if it did happen, my answer would remain the same.”
Dan Feng looks at you in shock, clearing his throat before steadying himself once more. “Why? I don’t understand.”
You bite your lip nervously, averting your gaze. “Dan Feng…” You shut your eyes. “You knew my past incarnation… you’ve told me countless stories… we’ve ventured side-by-side for quite some time, and yet… I’ve never once felt even a sliver of familiarity toward you.”
The other’s expression falls at the reminder. It pains your heart to remind him, but you need to get your point across so you continue.
“No matter how much you’ve told me, I’ve never remembered even a glimpse of my past life with you. It hasn’t come back and I doubt it ever will— so can you truly consider me the close friend you knew back then?” you ask. Imbibitor Lunae is quick to respond.
“You are the same,” he insists. “You’ve retained your personality entirely. You’re no different than you once were.”
“And yet, I still don’t remember who you are, or what you once were to me back then.”
Dan Feng remains silent, gaze trained on the wood grain of the table, unable to respond.
“In my last incarnation… I always felt connected to Lunae. While he didn’t seem familiar to me, we clicked in a way I didn’t click with anyone else aside from you. Despite that… despite his endless efforts… I never remembered him.
“However… I caught the way he’d look longingly at me when he thought I wasn’t paying attention. The lingering touches— the shadowed pain in his eyes when I showed interest in you… then the way he stopped trying once you began courting me.
“It made it easy to guess what I was to him in one of my past lives.
“And Ren. The pain I saw Dan Feng experience— being trapped in my amnesia, knowing he was stuck hoping for something and that I couldn’t do anything to help him? That pain… it’s far worse. Even if I had known you’d become immortal, I wouldn’t change a thing.
“I refused to put you through that.”
Facing Blade with a wry smile, you shake your head.
“I couldn’t guarantee that I would remember you. I was lucky this time— somehow I remembered despite the odds. Probably because I swore I would for your sake. But…” You frown, meeting his eyes. “If I couldn’t remember, I didn’t want you to be stuck by my side for millennia, trapped with someone you loved who’d never recall you.”
You fidget with your first aid materials, cleaning them up, reorganizing them— anything to distract you. Then, you sigh and set them aside.
“I hoped that you’d move on… but you never did, did you?”
Blade looks to you with fragility etched into his features. He reaches out to touch you, but pulls away upon seeing the red staining his hands, refusing to stain your pristine features with his blood.
In his place, you reach out and gently place your hand on his cheek. Blade lets out a relieved sigh, as if your touch alone alleviated him of centuries of pain and the weight of his sins on his shoulders. He places a hand over yours, pressing a soft kiss to your palm.
“I would’ve waited for you to remember… no matter how long it would’ve taken,” he whispers. You gently lean your head against his.
“I never wanted you to. I never wanted you to suffer.”
Finally, you allow your tears to fall— centuries of your lover suffering finally catching up to the present-day you, spilling from your eyes. Blade wipes them away gently, his hands scarred and calloused, but his touch still familiar.
“But you did anyway, didn’t you?” you say. “For that… I’m so sorry, Ren.”
“There’s no need.” He pulls you closer. “I’d repeat it all again if it meant reuniting with you like this again.”
More tears fall from your eyes, your voice cracking. “Things were never supposed to end up like this. You were supposed to have a happy life, Ren. Yaoshi cursed you with something so awful… knowing you suffered for centuries brings me great pain.”
“No,” Blade starts. “It was Imbibitor Lunae… Dan Feng who cursed me. We both know that.” He looks at you, hands still holding you gently. “Have you forgiven him for what he’s done?”
You remain silent, idly toying with Ren’s ink black hair as you ponder. You find that you’re a naturally forgiving person, but… the word traitor rings loudly in your ears. Memories swell within you, making your chest tighten.
Plus, you know that Imbibitor Lunae would’ve made that choice time and time again.
“I haven’t. I can’t forgive him,” you say. “But it doesn’t matter. Dan Feng is gone. There’s no solace for me in vengeance.”
For a moment, it almost seems like Blade wants to say something else, but bites his tongue and holds back. Instead, he contemplates for a moment before speaking once more.
“Will you come with me? We can flee the Xianzhou, and you can live alongside me,” he suggests. You flinch, pulling back and looking away, expression riddled with guilt.
Blade’s blissful expression falls. “Your answer is no, isn’t it?”
You hide your face in his neck and sigh. “Ren. I love you more than anything. I still do but… I’ve lived here for centuries. I’m just not sure I can uproot and become a fugitive.” You frown. “I’m a healer. I can’t hurt people— and I refuse to leave when Sanctus Medicus still runs rampant.”
You pull back to meet his gaze, gently brushing his bangs out of his face. “But I know you can’t stay. And I can’t go.”
Blade’s grip tightens around you, pulling you closer as if to deny the reality of the situation. He prepares to speak— wanting desperately to convince you otherwise— before the door slams open.
“We’ve returned!” Jing Yuan calls out. “Kafka has been captured. However, Blade is still on the loose so we should exercise the utmost precauti—” the General goes silent upon seeing you alongside Blade.
Yanqing is quick to react before anyone else, icy swords materializing and shooting toward Blade. You panic, eyes wide as everything stills.
Blade is a criminal— Yanqing is only trying to protect you— that’s what you reason.
And yet, you’re unable to stop yourself as you snatch up Ren’s fractured sword, your quantum energy infused into the weapon as you divert the swords with a single slash.
Only after you attack do you process what you did, eyes wide as you drop the sword, looking to your hands in disbelief.
You instinctively attacked— against someone close to you— Yanqing, who only had your best interests in heart, no less. You know exactly why he attacked— you can’t blame him, either, so why did you…?
Jing Yuan seems just as shocked, with Yanqing and Bailu left speechless. Blade places a careful hand on your shoulder, trying to ground you during what was clearly quite the internal conflict.
The General clears his throat. “Perhaps… this is why Fu Xuan demanded your presence at the Divination Commission.”
You look at him in disbelief, shaky on your legs as you try and steady yourself.
You know why she wants to see you.
You’re teetering on the dangerous edge of enemy lines— an ally to the Xianzhou with the potential to become anything but.
You’re a risk to the people. That alone should scare you enough to remain on the Xianzhou… yet it doesn’t.
And knowing that it doesn’t terrifies you far more.
“I’m sorry— I need a moment,” you say, quickly fleeing from the tense atmosphere of the clinic, out into the Exalting Sanctum. Blade tries to chase after you, but a hand on his shoulder stops him.
He shoots the General a venomous glare, but the man simply sighs.
“You’re a fugitive. Remember that,” Jing Yuan says. Blade tenses but stops trying to fight against his grip.
They’re at a standstill. Jing Yuan refuses to lose you to the darkened path Blade walks. Blade refuses to leave without you after finding you again after so long.
Which only means that this decision falls on your shoulders.
And to you… there is no inherent right answer.

🌟 Honkai Star Rail OCs! 🚂
SO, I decided to make a couple HSR characters of my own because I just love character design. And I made two so far.
Both of them are Vidyadhara because…That’s what I found most fun to design at the time.
Without further ado, meet my Vidyadhara OCs.
❄️ Xue Wencheng 💨
An ice element character on the path of The Abundance. He would act as a healer/support character.
Name meaning: ‘Genial’ and ‘Accomplished’
Xue Wencheng has a very cool, calm and calculating demeanour, most people who encounter him struggle to gage his intentions or whether he truly means well with that cocky smile permanently painted onto his face, many people can’t help but be captivated and put at ease by Xue Wencheng’s gaze. He loves the attention.
A former chancellor of the Divination Commission, currently exiled from the Xianzhou Luofu.
Xue Wencheng seemed to have the inexplicable ability to soothe people with the cold smoke he could blow from his pipe.
By trade, Xue Wencheng acted as a matchmaker, soothing both parties so they would relax and be their most natural selves. It was just mere coincidence that this was also useful in the extraction of information for those under interrogation in the Divination Commission.
He found that he was also able to slow and alleviate the symptoms of Mara, causing the illness to progress slower than normal. Though not a permanent solution, it eased the suffering of the Mara-Struck.
Morbid curiosity led to him experimenting on detainees that displayed symptoms of Mara, and he discovered that he was also able to accelerate the process, causing the individual to transform into a denizen of The Abundance much faster. Such experimentation led to a subject breaking free and causing a rampage in the Exalting Sanctum that injured Xue Wencheng himself, several Cloud Knights and some civilians. Casualties were thankfully kept to a minimum.
He was left disfigured by the attack, with scars across his face and neck, and his horns broken in several places.
Xue Wencheng was tried for his misdeeds before the Seat of Divine Foresight and condemned for his crimes. He was found guilty of illegal experimentation, involuntarily causing the deaths and severe injury of Cloud Knight personnel, causing injury to civilians through reckless acts.
His sentence branded him an enemy of the Xianzhou Alliance, he stripped of his title in the Divination Commission and exiled from the Luofu.
He now lives to destroy the man who ordered for his exile, and to see the Luofu crumble by his will.
“Let it be known, General….the Xianzhou Luofu WILL know my wrath….”
⚡️ Jiang Meng 🐉
A lightning character on the path of Destruction. He would act as a Tank/Main DPS.
Name meaning: ‘Fierce’ or ‘Ferocious’
Jiang Meng is considered to be ‘unapproachable’ upon most people’s first glances. A stoic expression firmly emblazoned onto his face, it’s like he refuses to even express the slightest emotion. He is firm but fair, and once a person starts to get to know him, it turns out he is actually one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet, he just holds a lot of pain inside.
Jiang Meng is currently a Captain of a regiment within the Xianzhou Luofu’s Cloud Knights. He serves under Lieutenant Yanqing of the Cloud Knights and Arbiter General Jing Yuan, whom he believes he owes his life to.
During the Exalting Sanctum Rampage caused by the currently exiled Xue Wencheng, a young Jiang Meng was a freshly promoted Sergeant within his regiment. He had been on patrol in the area when the Exalting Sanctum was swarmed by Denziens of The Abundance. He was seen by colleagues and civilians attempting to push back against the abominations and prevent them from reaching any citizens of the Luofu despite being severely out numbered. An immediate evacuation of the area was ordered in the interest of protecting civilians.
Jiang Meng fought against the monsters tirelessly for hours, until his strength was waning. That was when a denizen overpowered Jiang Meng and attempted to claw its way into his chest. He was barely able to protect his vital organs using his thick tail, but the abomination still savagely scratched and clawed at him on the ground.
Just when Jiang Meng was convinced that he would die by this creature’s hands, the pressure of it trying to pull him to pieces suddenly stopped, and the monster fell to his side, but Jiang Meng was losing consciousness. Fast.
He was immediately transported to the Alchemy Commission where he was treated for extensive injuries. Including severe clawing wounds to the face, chest and tail. His left horn was left with severe cracking the majority of the way up it. Though he was in a terrible condition, he just barely pulled through from this tragedy.
Jiang Meng had not known until several days later that the reason he was not torn to shreds that day was a fateful intervention by Arbiter General Jing Yuan himself. It was because of him that Jiang Meng was gotten the medical aid that he needed just in time, and since that fateful day, Jiang Meng has believed that he owes his life to the General, and is adamant that one day, he will repay his debts to him. Though the General does not see it to be necessary, he sees it as simply his responsibility as the General of the Xianzhou Luofu.
For his bravery and valour in the face of mortal danger in order to protect the citizens of the Xianzhou Luofu, Jiang Meng was promoted to Captain of his regiment, and was rewarded for his efforts. Though the newly appointed Captain does not seem to consider himself deserving of such honours.
To him…all he did was fall close to death. He feels as though he had failed his duty as a soldier.
“One day, General Jing Yuan….one day, I shall be able to express my gratitude to you…..”
[ Nobody’s gonna read these things, but…I don’t care, I had fun making and writing these characters. I kinda made them slightly connected in a way, but other than that Jiang Meng does not personally know Xue Wencheng. ]

“Healing those who are mara-struck is like getting blood from a stone, but his case is different – no matter how many times I heal him, he always returns with new, fresh scars.”
A vidyadhara girl who Stellaron Hunters kidnapped and are now using as their own doctor. Being a vidyadhara and a former member of Alchemy Commission, she’s skilled in her healing abilities and using cloudhymn magic. Although she’s technically with Stellaron Hunters, she doesn’t do dirty deeds like them, but prefers to just stay at the headquarters, usually pondering and missing her homeplace.

Resident Vidyadhara lore nerd here, I'm typing this all out at 3 in the god damn morning so I might regret this but I wanted to give my take on something I feel like a lot of people might have misunderstood or misinterpreted:
Hatching rebirth is not a cosmetic thing, it's not simply amnesia, it's not a way for Vidyadhara to escape taking accountability for what they did in their past lives, and Dan Heng is not in denial for believing himself to be his own person, distinct from Dan Feng.
There's this document in the alchemy commission you find as part of a quest with a compendium of medicines, and one of those is a treatment that, when administered to young Vidyadhara, allows them to begin to recall their past lives. This is most likely how it's done for High Elders.
However, there's the added stipulation that administering this to someone else without their consent is a punishable offense.
The Vidyadhara have a way of negating the memory loss caused by hatching rebirth, but they don't want it. The process of hatching rebirth and the strict separation between past lives is not only culturally sacred to them, it's an important part of their life cycle. The fact that it's done to High Elders is pretty much a perversion, but it's apparently considered important for the survival of the species.
The reason why is that there's just simply an upper limit to how long someone can comfortably live a single life--Xianzhou natives become Mara struck after about 1000 years, and while there's no real knowledge of what causes it, the general consensus is that their memories accumulate and become too much for them. Hatching rebirth protects them from this, it's an opportunity to rest and renew, to heal from old scars and past traumas, and most importantly, a chance for a fresh start.
Believing themself to be a different person than they were in their past lives is not an attitude unique to Dan Heng, it's consistent with pretty much every Vidyadhara npc you can talk to.
(Chunfen, the reincarnation of a famous Vidyadhara opera singer named Ling Jie, uses Ling Jie's notes as a guide on how to live an exciting life, but still talks about her as if she were someone else who left them for her and not as if they were something she herself had written)
(Jinyu, the Vidyadhara woman whose rebirth cycle is so accelerated she basically becomes a new person every month, has had many short-lived yet passionate love affairs, but she never remembers them and never has any interest in trying to rekindle the relationship)
There's the Vidyadhara Cong, who by chance or fate has ended up falling in love with the same long-life Xianzhou woman in every one of his past reincarnations, which she found romantic at first, but she has grown old and tired and has had to try to let him down gently because she can't force herself to try to fall in love with him again.
There are Vidyadhara who are reluctant to let go of their memories and try to bring keepsakes with them, but the unfortunate fact of the matter is that most of the time, their future self does not attach the same emotional significance to it that they do, and it only ends up being a source of grief and a reminder of what they lost.
When Vidyadhara hatch out of their eggs, they are a child with no memories. Despite not being a true death, it is functionally no different than the death of the old self and the birth of a new one (and Dan Heng sees it this way, too, he even refers to it as his "birth")
And I think that Dan Heng is perfectly justified in not wanting anything to do with Dan Feng or anything related to his past life. All he knows is that ever since he was a child, he has been punished and abused and hunted and despised for something that, from his perspective, he didn't even do.
It's not like what happened with Scaramouche, which I feel like a lot of people are probably comparing it too--If Dan Heng suddenly and with perfect clarity got back all of Dan Feng's memories, it would not make him Dan Feng. They still wouldn't be his memories, and they wouldn't supersede his current life--He would still just be Dan Heng, but with someone else's memories on top. He really is his own person, and he deserves to have his own life to live.
#honkai star rail#hsr dan heng#hsr vidyadhara#hsr meta#I hope the tone of this did not come off as condescending#I just genuinely wanted to share my findings and my understanding because this worldbuilding is so fascinating to me

HSR and Scars+other physical trauma marks HCs
I haven't seen anyone do this yet, but lmk plz if someone has!
Minor spoilers for main plot
Arlan- scars in a lot of places, implied that he could fight as a child and was poor, canonically has a prosthetic arm (at least I think, but works as hc too) and scars on his arm and nose at least. likely has more, esp on arms since using a greatsword doesnt give great defensibility and his moveset involves cutting HP(judging by the animation, using electricity, so electricity scars too? are those called lichtenberg scars?). he's short, and again the childhood implications mean he was probably malnourished.
Asta- probably minor things from working with untested equipment, and has likely burned her hands with her own powers- but, since she's a noble, she's likely expected to be neat, so idk. I like the burn idea tho.
Bailu- she's a healer, so I think what she does get she can get rid of too. But maybe her dragon tail has unhealed bits from failed assassination attempts, or smth?
Blade- canonically has scars basically everywhere. literally got tortured for a really long time, had home planet destroyed as a child and likely didn't get out unscathed (we NEED to talk abt that more), was a forge worker (burns) and did fight on occasion as Yingxing, and then was on the run for about 1000 years or something, and canonically died even more during that time. also has a skillset that involves cutting his own hp. likely doesn't have to eat, but he's unhealthily skinny because of it anyway. chronic pain. somebody give this guy a hug please.
Bronya- she's a soldier, so callouses, blade scars, bullet scars, emergency first-aid scars, and probably desensitized to cold more than the average human bc belobog. really high disregard for pain that concerns seele on a regular basis.
Clara- her. her feet. are they ok. but also some scars from working with mechs and being in the cold, but svarog made sure nothing too major happened while she was in his care. before, though... likely got beat up for being a "pushover" (im crying plz).
dan heng-... chain scars. we NEED to talk about the fact he spent most of his life chained up in prison with guards and people who hated him (minus jing yuan). probably none of the guards would have stopped some of the more violent ones from getting physical- how else would he tear his clothes that much? probably wasn't fed enough or allowed to exercise much. and the chains- listen, i know we joke about the light cone a lot(honestly why was that specifically made into the light cone) but that was really how he lived for a long time. the desc even said he "writhed" and "gasped for breath". he definitely has huge scars from rubbing skin raw around his wrists, ankles, stomach, and maybe his neck? his arms are definitely majorly scarred over and stuff from this, and probably his ankles+legs too. also his eyesight is probably shit from the dark, unless Vidyadhara magic somehow helped that.
bonus: there is a fic on ao3 called "you're looking into their eyes (and find you're looking into your own)" by robyndoesntlikeyou that deals with dan heng having scars that i only found after drafting this post. plz rec any more fics you have on this...
Fu Xuan- i really don't know for her. probably small ones that wouldn't have scarred, but she saw them as unimportant and didn't treat them...
Gepard- similar to Bronya, but maybe not as many since he's a shielder, but more of the lack of cold sensitivity? he's on the front lines lots
Guinaifen- burn scars on forearm and hands. probably can't feel much on her hands too. idk her lore but she's a street performer, so probably not always enough money for food.
Herta- we basically know nothing about her! seriously, she's so mysterious, and her character stories are vague about her past. i can't think of anything, but maybe there were some more dangerous experiments?
Himeko- considering she rebuilt the Astral Express, there were probably dangerous components involved there somewhere... and her backstory still seems pretty mysterious
Hook- diggertron probs caused burns, and life in the underground is dangerous- plus, moles could apparently go to the fight club? which seems like an issue
Jing Yuan- he's a general- lots of war scars. and probs lighting burns because he summons that entire lightning lord/chronic pain.
Jingliu- she definitely has a lot- i'm pretty sure she's the oldest of the hcq, and also got mara-struck/ fought in wars and was on the run and exiled for a long while. canonically constantly in pain due to mara. also really, really needs a hug, except the only person she would probs let hug her is baiheng, who is dead! and also she isolated herself and tortured yingxing/blade. hcq enjoyers are in literally so much pain.
Kafka- would have a lot of callouses, but idk about where scars would be. she would probs cover them up to avoid drawing attention (as she is an assassin), but idrk where exactly. she seems really sneaky, and considering she has no fear there's no reason for her to hesitate in battle. maybe scars on arms from electricity or stray bullets?
Luka- canon that he has scars from wrestling and stuff.
luocha- again, he would probably just heal whatever scars he did get. i really don't know for him, sry ):.
lynx- most calloused hands ever and even more of a weird cold tolerance than others because she's an explorer. probably just doesn't have feeling in some places. and there are probs scars somewhere from when she ran into fragmentum beasts but she's also a healer so...
march 7th- from careless accidents, sure- dropping glasses and stuff, maybe from a few close fights. but her body was wiped like her memories, plus she's a shielder and archer, which is code for not in the thick of the fight and not taking much damage herself, although she has been careless a few times. also, bowstring burns.
natasha- again, she would heal it. but has chronic pain from lugging around that heavy gun and due to age- i think she's in 50s? she's a respected person, and raised seele in the orphanage, but i dont think there's an official age.
pela- cold resistance. maybe some scars from mechanical accidents? and also there were likely some attacks right after she was born since so many of her mother's coworkers were killed.
Qingque- she's clumsy, so accident scars- breaking glass, falling down too many stairs, etc.
sampo- cold res! and probably some close calls since he's such a rat and has enemies, so most scars are on his stomach.
seele- again, growing up in the underworld was tough, so fighting rings + orphanage scraps + street fights, plus some malnourishment since she often gave her food to smaller kids and ran all the errands. was always a fight-first person, but cares a lot and so would protect automatically. has scars all over- many knife ones, some bullet or burns, and electric ones from fixing up mechs.
serval- electric ones from when she was just starting to fight with the guitar. do i need to keep saying cold resistance for the Jarilo-vi ppl?
Silver Wolf- definitely got some, but can aether hacking erase them? either way i doubt she would actually care enough to try unless she was really bored. but also has terrible eyesight, even by punklorde standards. idrk where her scars would be, so spread out mby?
sushang- spent her entire life training and canonically is brawns over brains, so probs more than a few. also her sword is heavy so she probs had some accidents. mostly on her arms and stomach.
tingyun- probs some from people blowing up amicassador ships, since they want to interrupt peace talks and things- but she's fast and experienced.
topaz- had bad lungs, but had a surgery after getting promoted to fix them. some burns on her hands and her sense of smell is a bit screwed up, so numby is often her compass for that (i love numby SO MUCH)
trailblazer- massive scar from getting stabbed through. none from before game started, since apparently they're a puppet. i think they would heal faster, but messily because of that, so a bunch of smaller scars on their torso, face and forearms.
welt- lots and lots from soldier time, especially from debris and the honkai energy probably has some kind of physical drawback. hands are a bit screwed up too, and gets a lot of chronic pain.
yanqing- what the heck is his family history? will it become relevant later? kind of curious how that may affect these hcs, but hands are super calloused and while he often doesn't retain major injuries, he'll only care for them if jing yuan tells him to, so a bunch of smaller scars just from that. mostly on his arms and hands and neck (ppl probs try to stab there often...)
yukong- so many- was huge in the war, so lots of bullet scars and maybe even some that were previously mara-infected and made worse. hearing is shot, uses hearing aids in her fox ears. a bit irrelevant but she is totally awesome.

“No, I-I’m fine. It was just a nightmare. Go back to sleep.”
HURT / COMFORT : STARTERS / accepting.
perhaps it’s become more routine than either of them would care to admit. this isn’t the first time dan heng has fallen asleep instead of leaving, and it certainly won’t be the last. ren, as always, remembers fighting off his own exhaustion just to stay awake long enough to witness it. a blink held a moment too long is all it takes to miss the transformation - the softening of the cloudhymn walls dan heng wears so rigidly, melting away into comfort of tranquility.
at first, ren had worried, unsure of what it meant. now, he simply observes, captivated by the quiet, almost sacred beauty of the scene. dan heng’s hair, longer and softer than usual, cascading over his shoulders and down his back, framing his features in a way that seems almost divine. pointed ears, translucent horns, and a serenity that radiates with every breath of his cloudhymn essence. and then there’s the tail, its appearance marking the shift from formality to something more intimate. sometimes, it drapes over ren’s body, a gentle weight that seems to anchor the night, other times, it remains coiled elsewhere, still and unobtrusive.
the tail often serves as the night’s punctuation, lulling ren to sleep shortly after dan heng succumbs to his own. it’s often the last thing ren remembers before slipping into his own dreams, and, more often than not, the first thing he notices when he wakes before dan heng. but tonight, it’s all gone by the time he stirs.
what wakes him instead is a sharp jab between his ribs, an elbow, he guesses. whether intentional or accidental doesn’t matter, the result is the same. ren jolts awake, his eyes snapping open as his mind struggles to shake off the remnants of his last dream. his vision is blurry, his thoughts sluggish, but instinctively, he seeks out the source of his rude awakening. just an arm’s length away, he finds dan heng, awake and visibly distressed.
“ no, i-i’m fine. it was just a nightmare. go back to sleep. ”
calm settles like a gentle wave when their eyes lock.
few things can ease the crease in his brow so effortlessly, but those cloudy eyes are one of them. the tension in his body unwinds gradually, muscles softening from the rigidity they had adopted when he was so abruptly pulled from sleep. the sharp pain in his side fades just as quickly as it came, leaving only the two of them on opposite ends of the bed - almost too far apart for comfort. a hesitation of even a second might shatter whatever fragile connection this is, so ren acts without overthinking. he closes the gap between them in silence, his arm slipping naturally around dan heng’s waist.
“ it’s alright, ” raspy voice mumbles quietly and he presses his lips to a cold forehead, nose buried in short messy hair. “ you’re alright. ”
fingers trail along the vidyadhara’s spine, moving with the rhythm of a steady stream, up and down in deliberate, flowing motions. there’s an irony in the tenderness of his touch, a quiet contradiction to the oath he once made to never let himself get this close. the room feels heavy, the air thick with remnants of cloudhymn essence that cling to exposed skin like morning dew. it settles indiscriminately, brushing over both old scars and new, a quiet comfort ren isn’t entirely sure he deserves.
he leans down, pressing a soft kiss to dan heng’s forehead, the curve of his lips betraying the faintest trace of a hidden frown. one day, perhaps, he won’t falter when the unspoken question hangs at the edge of his thoughts - the desire to know the truth behind the nightmare. but not tonight. tonight, he swallows the urge, choosing silence over inquiry, avoidance over confrontation. it’s the coward’s path, but for now, it feels safer. with a quiet resolve, he tightens the arm draped around dan heng, holding him securely against his chest, steady and warm.
“ only a nightmare, it was only a nightmare, ” hopefully not about me. “ go on, rest. ”
a plea veiled as a command.
“ i’m here, i’ve got you. ”
#cloudhymn#mailbox.#and as promised smth more “in the future” kinda#we just assumed here that dh would go back to dh form from dhil form if woken up like that idk if that vibes with you#i was thinking at least in the earlier days where he still isn't super comfortable knowing he falls asleep after they do the deed#that maybe he automatically goes back to that which is why ren is also gay gay gay gay fascinated and implied to stay awake to#witness the transformation even as dh knocks out#anyway here have your comfort version of the hurt/comfort prompt#i hope it was alright

There are things that tend to be...forgotten between reincarnations one could say. Or maybe lessons were needing to be learned. Who's to say except the Preceptors who watched over the young Mons Grandis themselves? One thing can be said, however, that ignorance, willful or not, can have consequences. Such was the case when Lài Shoi-Ming was set for his first execution. The first time that the young High Elder ever had to perform his duties as the Yuque's Mons Grandis. When the proper precautions weren't taken and rather than an easy meal and an easy show for onlookers, there were complications. Complications that resulted in the young vidyadhara being attacked by what should've been his first real kill. An attack that would scar him not just mentally, but physically as well. The attack itself feels like a blur, that's what Shoi-Ming says any time he's asked about it. But in reality he remembers it all too well. The man's anger and his hidden blade. He remembers wondering how exactly that even got past any security point. Remembers all too well how terribly it hurt to have his face torn and cut up. To have nails clawing at his skin before Ghengis got the man off. Remembers the cries of the alchemy commission healers who were trying to fix the problem. And he remembers the months spent with a bandage covering half of his face. Wishes that it could've stayed on forever. Though, given it couldn't he ended up growing his hair to cover it as best he could. Though, the damage is very visible. Especially where the knife had cut through his lip, revealing part of his gums and his teeth. The scar travels along most of the right side of Shoi-Ming's face. It extends from that spot on his lip up to his cheek and over his eye. And while he still has his eye, he can no longer see out of it. The once vivid amethyst now a dull lavender in color. A stark reminder of what the world saw him as. Of what he'd grow to see himself as too. It's something he's grateful was lost when Aha forced his rebirth. Though what took it's place was just as much of a joke on him.
I'm also going to note here just for reference's sake. The verses that still have this scar present are: previous life, yuque bound, unbound elder, and stellaron hunter. But it is absent from all others due to rebirth
#🐉 ; if we only need an hour to break [headcanon]#i will have an image of this eventually#but i wanted to describe it and the reason behind it first

[inbox call!]
"My lady was thrilled to hear you were visiting." The gentle comment is warm, fond. Said little dragon was pattering around in the gardens harvesting the herbs Jiaoqiu had requested of her, while he and Yingyue sat by a basket of freshly picked peppers, snapping the stems off the fruits to be pickled for later use. "She's excited to l-learn from you, Jiaoqiu-xiansheng... a-as am I." The smile in Yingyue's voice is palpable, even if he can no longer see it. "Though.. you'll have to forgive us if we... use less spice."
inbox call. @everlastiingiimmortals
Though it had taken many months of rest, physical rehabilitation, and gradual adaptation to living without his sight, Jiaoqiu had finally been deemed fit to travel by the Yaoqing Alchemy Commission in recent months. The grisly wounds inflicted by Hoolay's deadly maw were now largely healed, but the scars they left behind were set deep within his skin; ragged marks scored across his upper torso where flesh had been torn away. Thankfully, the tonics that aided in regenerating the lost tissues had done wonders for Jiaoqiu's healing, but having flesh stitch itself back together didn't come without some discomfort. Even so, the dull aches that periodically throbbed inside the foxian's chest didn't deter him from returning to the Luofu for a little trip to visit the Healer Lady and her faithful maid.
He didn't wish for either vidyadhara to worry about his health, however, so he made a conscious effort to mask the slight pain that had come on while they sorted through the harvested peppers.
"Of course, Miss Yingyue. I'm more than happy to impart the Ranzhi School's teachings to you and the Dragon Lady. In my opinion, the more people who are taught the benefits of food therapy, the better." Jiaoqiu hummed with a smile of his own, long fingers moving with rhythmic, practiced motions as they twisted the stems away from the peppers. Despite his inability to see his own movements, he truthfully didn't need eyes for this task -- one that was so familiar and repetitious it was practically second nature to him. He was accustomed to doing it by himself, but with someone as lovely as Yingyue assisting him, he didn't mind in the slightest. Upon hearing her next comment, a lighthearted chuckle rumbled in his throat, though the twinge of pain in his chest caused the faintest wince to cross his expression. A beat passed, but Jiaoqiu seemed to quickly recover from the discomfort as he turned to address the vidyadhara. He wouldn't want her to fret over him before their lesson, after all.
"Good lady, that's no problem at all. I'm not nearly as crotchety about spice levels as I used to be... unless, of course, someone went out of their way to create the blandest dish in the known universe, then I'd have quite a bone to pick with them." His features then softened, the pain having been entirely forgotten in favor of this current moment.
"But there's no doubt in my mind that neither you or Lady Bailu would do something like that. I have a strong feeling that the both of you are going to be excellent students, Miss Yingyue."
